And here's the side view :D :D :D

My pendant is totally my own creation and just a crazy fan gal sorta obsession with making jewelry out of a cartoon series on tv! I don't own NICK TV or AVATAR the LAST AIRBENDER.

This is a rather noob question. How does the clay hold? Do you soak it in a special solution or something?

I'm still a noobi myself when it comes to clay jewelry so noob questions I think I can handle:D

The clay I used comes soft and moldable right out of the package.
It's only after you cook it that is hardens. :D

The soft clay I used felt like that putty you get out of a putty egg, but a little more flexible.

After you get it the way you want, prop it up inside a pot with a lid, then you just preheat the oven to 110C-or-230F and cook it for 30 minutes.

You just need to make sure to use a designated jewelry pot/container with a lid so the clay residue doesn't leave deposits on the oven walls or that you cook food with the same container you use for jewelry  That would be bad!! and your Mom would probably become very upset at you :giggle:

If you're interested.... here's a link to the clay I used :D [link]

Also check out some books by Carol Blackburn. I like her style the best. :w00t:

Thanks :D

Have you ever tried your hand (or is it hands:? :D ) at polymer clay making?

It's a lot of fun, and easier than I thought!

I'm thinking about posting some of my other previous jewelry I've done, since you all seem to like this one :D
